WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Oct. 17) - Freshmen wide receivers Deandre Proctor (Elizabeth City, NC) and Keasean Williams (Clinton, NC) stood out for Saint Augustine's University in a 41-0 football loss to Winston-Salem State on Saturday, Oct. 16.
Proctor finished with 95 total offensive yards against Winston-Salem State. He grabbed four passes for 48 yards at wideout and added 34 yards on the ground and 13 in the air after moving to quarterback in the fourth quarter.
Williams followed up last weekend's performance against Livingstone with five catches for 72 yards against Winston-Salem State in a Southern Division matchup at Bowman Gray Stadium. In the Livingstone game, he caught five passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.
On defense, linebacker Joseph Harris (Jr./Jacksonville, FL) led the Falcons with seven tackles and defensive back Brion Seagraves (R-So./Greensboro, NC) picked off a pass. Defensive lineman Marcus Davis (Jr./Raleigh, NC) recorded two tackles for loss including a sack.
For Winston-Salem State (2-2 CIAA, 2-4 overall), Cameron Lewis threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another score.
After three straight road games, the Falcons (0-4 CIAA, 0-5 overall) return home to host Fayetteville State on Saturday, Oct. 23. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
