SALISBURY, NC (Sept. 8) – Saint Augustine's University (SAU) placed second in the women's 5K race at the Blue Bear Cross Country Invitational on Friday, September 8th, at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. 

SAU placed second in the women's race with 58 points. Fayetteville State placed first with 24 points. 

Individually, Abijah Jepkemboi (So./Kapsabet, Kenya) of SAU was first with a time of 19:46.90. Taymar Smith (So./Greenville, SC) was tenth with a time of 22:01.50 for the Lady Falcons. Both received awards for placing in the top ten in the 5K race.
