Rob McLamb is his second season as a collegiate coach at Saint Augustine's University. He is the fullbacks/tight ends coach and the Director of Football Operations. This is his sixth season overall as a coach.
After over a decade of covering sports as a journalist, McLamb entered the coaching profession in 2016 when he was named wide receivers coach at Jordan High School in Durham, N.C. He spent four seasons at Jordan under the leadership of current Saint Augustine's offensive coordinator Anthony Barbour.

During his time with the varsity team, McLamb was promoted to junior varsity head coach in 2017. In his first season, he guided the Falcons to an 8-2 mark -- the best record for Jordan's JV program in 13 years. For his efforts, McLamb was named Jordan High School's 2017-18 Coach of the Year. During that season, Jordan's varsity team earned a spot in the playoffs for the first time in seven years.

The following campaign, the Falcons claimed a share of the Triangle-6 title for the program's first league crown in 12 years. Jordan High followed up with an outright conference championship in 2019, the first time the Falcons had accomplished the feat in 46 years.  A lifelong native of Durham, N.C, McLamb graduated from N.C. State University with a bachelor's degree in Leadership in the Public Sector with a minor in Journalism. He also holds post-graduate certificates in Sports Essentials from Columbia University and Digital Storytelling from Harvard University's Extension School. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Liberal Arts program, with a concentration in Journalism, at Harvard Extension School.
