LINCOLN, Pa. – Rashad Ingram went 3-for-3 with six RBIs and Saint Augustine's College topped Lincoln (Pa.) University 10-7 in the second game to bounce back from an earlier non-conference baseball loss to the Lions on Sunday at Lincoln Field.
The Falcons, ranked fourth in the Black College Baseball NCAA Division II/NAIA poll, are 25-10 overall. The Lions, who surprised the Falcons 8-2 in the first game, are 2-15 overall.
After the stunning first-game loss, the Falcons regrouped in the second game. Two of Ingram's three hits were doubles. The six RBIs tied a season-high for Ingram.
Chris Rogers and Russbert Eugenio each recorded an RBI for the Falcons. Alex Didio pitched four innings in relief to gain the win.
In the first game, Peter Reyes of the Lions held the Falcons to three hits, including two doubles by Wayne Lewis, who was 2-for-4. Kevin White collected the other hit which drove in a run.
Phil Tomsic led the Lions with two RBIs. Marquise Hudson, Alejandro Rosario and Maurice Brown each added an RBI for the Lions. Reyes recorded seven strikeouts and seven walks in seven innings for the win. Larry Jones of the Falcons scattered seven hits in six innings for the loss.
