PETERSBURG, Va. - Kevin White (Sr./Dunn, N.C.) accumulated five RBIs as Saint Augustine's College swept Lincoln (Pa.) 14-3 and 7-3 Thursday in a CIAA baseball doubleheader played at Virginia State.

The victories concluded the regular season for the Falcons (34-16), who posted their second straight season of 30-plus wins. The Falcons are currently second at 22-4 behind conference leader Chowan, which is 23-3.

In the first game, White had three RBIs on 2-for-4 hitting. Josh Bishop (Sr./Richmond, Va.) led the Falcons with four RBIs on 2-for-4 batting with a double and one run scored. Wayne Lewis (Sr./Charlotte, N.C.) had three RBIs on 2-for-3 hitting with a double and three runs scored, and Joe Pierce (Sr./Wetumpka, Ala.) was 2-for-4 with one RBI, a double, a triple and three runs scored. Jeremy Wilkins (Soph./Smithfield, N.C.) was 2-for-3 with one RBI, a home run, a double and two runs scored for the Falcons, who amassed 14 hits as a team.

Brandon Stewart (Sr./Riverdale, Ga.) earned his NCAA-leading 11th pitching victory. He scattered five hits and struck out eight batters in six innings. Pierce came on in relief in the seventh inning.

In the second game, White and Wilkins both had two RBIs apiece. White was 2-for-4 with one run scored and two stolen bases.

The second game was much closer than the first. The Lions scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to narrow the Falcons' lead to 4-3. Chris Vette (Sr./Hampton, Va.) entered the fifth inning as a relief pitcher, and the Lions failed to score the final three innings. Vette gained his first save of the season.

NCAA steals leader Rashad Ingram (Sr./Savannah, Ga.) stole four bases in the doubleheader to raise his season total to 73. The Falcons win the season series 4-0 over the Lions.

The Falcons are set to defend their league crown at the CIAA Baseball Championships next week at the Virginia State Complex. The tournament will be held next Thursday thru Saturday.
