PETERSBURG, Va. – Saint Augustine's University will compete for conference championships in baseball, softball and men's and women's outdoor track & field at the 2014 CIAA Spring Sports Festival at Virginia State University on Thursday, April 17 thru Saturday, April 19. The preliminary rounds of the softball tournament will be held at the Petersburg Softball Sports Complex.
The Lady Falcons open against Virginia Union University in a first-round matchup Thursday at the Petersburg Softball Sports Complex at 12 p.m. The Lady Falcons (7-3 Southern Division, 10-6 CIAA, 15-19 overall) are the No. 2 Southern Division seed and Virginia Union (6-4 Northern Division, 9-7 CIAA, 11-13 overall) is the No. 3 Northern Division seed in the double-elimination tournament.
The Falcons face Winston-Salem State University in a first-round baseball game on the Virginia State campus at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Falcons (10-10 CIAA, 18-26 overall) are the No. 4 seed and Winston-Salem State (16-4 CIAA, 31-14 overall) is the top seed in the double-elimination tournament.

th straight men's title and the Lady Falcons are gunning for their 14
th crown in 18 years at the outdoor track & field championships, which begins Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. The St. Aug program has captured 34 NCAA Division II national indoor and outdoor championships and over 150 CIAA titles under legendary Head Coach
George Williams.
The Falcons are the top-ranked men's outdoor team in the nation and the defending national champions. The Lady Falcons are ranked seventh in the women's national rankings.
