Box Score HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Second baseman Timothy Carter (So./Lumberton, NC) smacked a home run for Saint Augustine's University in a 2-1 baseball loss to Coker College at Tom J. New Field on Monday, February 9, 2015.
 
Carter's solo shot over the right field wall put the Falcons ahead 1-0 in the fourth inning. The lead held until the seventh inning when Coker scored two runs.
 
Pitcher Bryan Rivera (Sr./Cidra, Puerto Rico) tossed a three-hitter in six innings for the Falcons. He struck out eight and walked one. Philip Hathcock (Jr./Apex, NC) pitched the last two innings.
 
The Falcons (1-4 overall) totaled six hits against Coker. Leftfielder Darrell Langston (Fr./Chicago, IL) was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. First baseman William Thomas (Jr./Yorktown, VA) added a double while third baseman Carey Cheek (Jr./Baltimore, MD) and designated hitter Alexis Garcia (So./Maracaibo, Venezuela) each recorded a single.
 
Coker evened its record at 3-3 overall. The Cobras tallied five hits.
 
The Falcons will visit Pfeiffer University for a four-game series this weekend in Misenheimer, N.C. Both teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15. Games times for both days are 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
