New Baseball Field in Hartsville, S.C., on Monday, February 9, at 2 p.m. They return home for a nine-inning contest against Francis Marion University at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C., on Tuesday, February 10, at 3 p.m.
The Falcons (1-3 overall) split a doubleheader against Benedict College at Buffaloe Road Park in Raleigh, N.C., on February 5. Pitcher Desmond Cheek (So./Franklinville, NC) fired a two-hitter for the Falcons in a 10-3 victory in the first game. The Falcons lost the second contest 6-4. All-CIAA outfielder Jason Baytop (Jr./Manchester, Md.) leads the Falcons with a .556 batting average. Shortstop Roberto Rivera (Fr./Millville, NJ) bats .467 and second baseman/designated hitter Timothy Carter (So./Lumberton, NC) bats .375. Coker (2-3 overall) is led in hitting by Dustin Russell, who has a .500 batting average. Francis Marion (4-2 overall) is paced by Matt Rubino, who has a .522 batting average.
