Box Score CARY, N.C. – Carey Cheek (Jr./Baltimore, MD) hit the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Saint Augustine's University a 10-9 non-conference baseball win over Francis Marion University at the USA Baseball National Training Complex on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
Cheek scored Darrell Langston (Fr./Chicago, IL) with a hit that bounced over the third baseman into left field. His RBI capped a three-run inning for the Falcons, who trailed 9-7 heading into the bottom of the 10th.

The Falcons trailed 4-1 early, but exploded for six runs in the sixth inning to take a 7-4 lead. Carter started the rally when he scored Washington-Hardy on a double.
Brassington tied the game when he tripled to score McDonald and Carter, and an error at third base allowed Brassington to score on the same play for a one-run Falcons' lead. Cheek extended the lead with a two-run single that scored James and Langston.
The Falcons were one out away from victory in the ninth inning, but Ryan Miller of the Patriots smacked a three-run home run over the left field wall to send the contest into extra innings. The Patriots took a 9-7 lead in the top of the 10th but the resilient Falcons rallied again to pull out the win.
Carter started the bottom of the 10th with a triple to deep right field, and he scored on Brassington's groundout to slice the margin to 9-8. With one out, James singled to right field and Langston walked to put runners on second and first.
Baytop scored James on a single and Langston advanced to third base. Cheek then produced his biggest hit of the season to score Langston and give the Falcons (14-25 overall) their biggest victory of the season.
The Patriots (25-17 overall) started the contest with three runs in the top of the first inning. The Falcons scored their first run in the bottom of the first when McDonald scored Washington-Hardy on a single. The Patriots added a run in the third inning for a 4-1 lead before the Falcons began their comeback
