CARY, N.C. – Saint Augustine's University will take on William Peace University in a non-conference baseball game between neighboring schools at the USA Baseball National Training Complex on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. The nine-inning contest begins at 3 p.m.
The Falcons are led by senior sluggers William Thomas (Yorktown, VA) and Carey Cheek (Baltimore, MD). Thomas, named CIAA Offensive Player of the Week, leads the CIAA in batting average (.364) and Cheek ranks third (.351).
Brothers Corey (Jr./Raleigh, NC) and Sean Brassington (Sr./Raleigh, NC) are second and third, respectively, in the conference in earned run average. Corey Brassington has a 2.63 ERA and Sean Brassington has a 3.00 ERA for the Falcons (1-18 overall).
Easton Payton leads William Peace (7-10 overall) with a .359 batting average and Nick Cole has a .353 batting average. Chase Roupp is the Pacers' top pitcher with a 2.20 ERA.
