Tim Carter Smacks Solo Home Run For The Falcons
 

CARY, NC (March 1) – On Wednesday, Ruben Pinero (R-Jr./Bronx, NY) drove in three runs for Saint Augustine's University in a 12-4 baseball loss to Francis Marion University at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.

Pinero's three-run double to right center field scored Kilvio Garcia (So./Bronx, NY), Carson Davis (So./Oakboro, NC) and Hector Pichardo (So./Dominican Republic) in the sixth inning. His hit pulled the Falcons within 10-4 of the Patriots (14-2 overall) in the inning.

Timothy Carter (Sr./Lumberton, NC) scored the other run for the Falcons. His solo home run sailed past the center field wall and bounced off the giant net screen behind it in the fourth inning.

Michael Keels (R-Sr./Manning, SC) batted 3-for-5 with a double for the Falcons, who outhit the Patriots 12-10. Pichardo was 2-for-4 with one run scored and Carson Davis (So./Oakboro, NC) recorded a double with one run scored. Alexis Garcia (Sr./ Maracaibo, Venezuela) was 2-for-5 at the plate.

The Falcons (6-10 overall) will host Salem International University in a four-game series this weekend at Optimist Park in Raleigh, N.C. Both teams will play a doubleheader Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 starting at 1 p.m. both days.
