RALEIGH, NC (March 7) – On Wednesday, March 8, Saint Augustine's University will host Paine College in a baseball doubleheader at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. Game times are 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Several players are having standout seasons for the Falcons (8-12 overall). Michael Keels (R-Sr./Manning, SC) ranks second in the CIAA in batting average (.378) and tied for second in stolen bases (14) with Corey Brassington (Sr./Raleigh, NC). Timothy Carter (Sr./Lumberton, NC) is tied for second in the CIAA in runs batted in (19) and home runs (3).

Pitching-wise, the trio of Rickey Rice (R-Sr./Union, SC), Marquis Johnson (Jr./Richmond, VA) and Ali Nunn (Fr./Raleigh, NC) are tied for second in the conference in wins (3). Rice is the CIAA strikeouts leader (32) while Johnson is tied for third (23). Chris Ingram (Sr./Smithtown, NY) has the most saves (2) in the league and ranks fifth in strikeouts (20). Collin Pippin (Fr./Garner, NC) is tied for second in the CIAA in saves (1).

For Paine (5-9 overall), Gabriel Guzman bats .367 and Ricky Carvajal bats .345 with team-highs of 13 RBIs and three home runs.
