RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 23) – Saint Augustine's University hosts Post University in a four-game, two-day baseball series beginning Saturday, Feb. 24, at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. Admission is free to Saturday's and Sunday's doubleheaders, which begin at 1 p.m. both days.
The Falcons (6-5 overall) are led offensively by several student-athletes. Hector Pichardo (Jr./Dominican Republic) leads the team in batting average (.419) and Carson Davis (Jr./Oakboro, NC) is the Falcons' RBI leader (7). Johnathan Sierra (Jr./Raleigh, NC) leads the Falcons in runs scored (7) and Cody Harris (Jr./Lumberton, NC) is second in RBIs (6).
Marquis Johnson (Jr./Richmond, VA) is off to a spectacular start on the mound. He has a 3-0 pitching record with 20 strikeouts and a 1.12 earned run average. Amilcar Yanez (Jr./Valencia, Venezuela) leads the Falcons with 21 strikeouts and has a 2.60 ERA.
Post enters the series with a 0-3 record. Rosario Missiti leads the Eagles in batting average (.545) and hits (6).
