RALEIGH, N.C. (March 2) – Saint Augustine's University heads to Augusta, Ga., to play Paine College in a baseball doubleheader Saturday, March 3, at Lions Field. Game times are 12 p.m. for the first game and 3 p.m. for the second contest.

The Falcons (6-9 overall) are led by pitchers Marquis Johnson (Sr./Richmond, VA) and Amilcar Yanez (So./Valencia, Venezuela). Johnson is 3-1 on the mound with a 1.64 earned run average and 24 strikeouts. He ranks 11th nationally in Division II in pitching victories. Yanez is 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA and 26 strikeouts. As a team, the Falcons are fifth in Division II in pitching shutouts (2).
Hector Pichardo (Jr./Dominican Republic) is the Falcons' top hitter with a .364 batting average. He leads the Falcons with 16 hits and has five RBIs. Carson Davis (Jr./Oakboro, NC) has a team-high seven RBIs in addition to six doubles which ranks 25th in Division II. Cody Harris (Jr./Lumberton, NC) has six RBIs.
Latek McNeil paces Paine (2-6 overall) with a .438 batting average. Gabriel Guzman bats .320 with four RBIs.
