SAU Baseball Takes On Bluefield State In Doubleheader Saturday (March 31)

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 30) – Saint Augustine's University travels to face Bluefield (W.Va.) State College in Mount Airy, N.C., on Saturday, March 31, in a baseball doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.

The Falcons have won four of six games against the Big Blues (7-10 overall) this season. A doubleheader scheduled for Friday, March 30, was postponed to a later date.

Carson Davis (Jr./Oakboro, NC) is batting .354 with 13 RBIs, 12 doubles and 13 runs scored and Nick Roets (Fr./Charlotte, NC) bats .341 with 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored for the Falcons (10-17 overall). Starting pitchers Marquis Johnson (Jr./Richmond, VA) and Amilcar Yanez (Valencia, Venezuela) have 1.26 and 2.70 earned run averages, respectively.

Tanner Brandon has a .333 batting average for the Big Blues. Tanner Ray bats .316 with 16 RBIs.
