Pichardo Provides Highlights For SAU Baseball In Losses To Chowan

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 23) – Hector Pichardo (Jr./Dominican Republic) drove in three runs for Saint Augustine's University in a baseball doubleheader against Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Sunday, April 22.

Pichardo had an RBI double in the first game, a 6-2 loss to the Hawks (21-18-1 overall). Johnathan Sierra (Jr./Raleigh, NC) added a sacrifice fly for SAU, which scored both runs in the sixth inning.

In the second game, Pichardo provided all of the scoring for the Falcons. He hit a two-run homer in the third inning of a 13-2 loss.

The Falcons (12-27 overall) conclude the season against Winston-Salem State University in a four-game series this weekend. A doubleheader is set for Saturday, April 28, in Thomasville, N.C., and Sunday, April 29, in Winston-Salem, N.C. The starting times are 1 p.m. and approximately 3 p.m. both days.
