SAU Women's Basketball Falls To Barry

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 14) – Danielle Rainey (Jr./West Florence, SC) scored 10 points and Ariyanna Brown (Jr./Charlotte, NC) added nine points for Saint Augustine's University in an 86-50 women's basketball loss to Barry in Miami Shores, Fla., on Sunday.

Lauren Banks (Fr./Clinton, MD) contributed eight points and Bre'cha Byrd (Fr./Surry County, VA) had six points and six rebounds for the Lady Falcons. Destiny Byfield (Sr./Brooklyn, NY) collected two steals.

Harriet Swindells scored 14 points for Barry in its season opener.

The Lady Falcons (0-2 overall) will host the Capital Classic at Emery Gymnasium on Nov. 19-20. The teams participating in the Classic are William Peace, Shaw, and Virginia-Lynchburg.
