Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. (Oct. 24) – The Saint Augustine's University volleyball team defeated Claflin, 3-1 (12-25, 25-24, 25-21, 25-17) inside Tullis Arena.
SAU has now won two straight and improved to (7-7, 7-7 CIAA), putting them in third place in the CIAA Southern Division.
The Lady Falcons fought back after dropping the first set 12-25 to win three straight sets for a 3-1 road victory.
The Lady Falcons totaled 49 kills, with middle blocker
Madison Jones (So./Durham, NC) leading the way for the team with fourteen kills and five blocks in the match. Outside hitter
Fesili Masaniai (Jr./San Antonio, TX) added twelve kills, and
Tionna Graham (Sr./Portmore, Jamaica) added eight kills and eleven digs. In addition, setter
Sydney Moore (So./West Bloomfield, MI) led the Lady Falcons with 39 assists. Defensively, setter
Zakiya Freeman (So./Riverdale, GA)
led the way with 15 digs, while middle blocker
La'Tavia Braynen (Jr./Nassau, Bahamas)
