Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 31) – The Saint Augustine's University volleyball team defeated Johnson C. Smith, 3-1 (16-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-20) inside Emery Gymnasium.
SAU has now won two straight and improved to (9-9, 9-9 CIAA), putting them in third place in the CIAA Southern Division. The Lady Falcons complete the regular season, winning seven of the last ten matches, resulting in their first .500 conference record since 2015 and their second consecutive tournament birth under Head Coach 
Tacara Moxey.
The Lady Falcons fought back after dropping the first set 16-25 to win three straight sets for a 3-1 road victory.
The Lady Falcons totaled 59 kills, with middle blocker 
Madison Jones (So./Durham, NC) leading the team with eighteen kills and two blocks in the match. Outside hitter 
Fesili Masaniai (Jr./San Antonio, TX) added eleven kills, and Middle hitter 
Kya Otis (Fr./Williamsburg, VA) added ten kills. In addition, setter 
Sydney Moore (So./West Bloomfield, MI) led the Lady Falcons with 41 assists, seven aces, and three blocks. Defensively, libero 
Maegan Williams (So./Durham, NC)
 led the way with eighteen digs, setter 
Zakiya Freeman (So./Riverdale, GA)
 added ten digs, and middle blocker 
La'Tavia Braynen (Jr./Nassau, Bahamas)
 joined Moore with three blocks.
Outside Hitters
 Tionna Graham (Sr./Portmore, Jamaica) and 
Deandra Small (Jr./St. Philip, Barbados) were honored for Senior Night.
The Lady Falcons begin CIAA Tournament play against Elizabeth City State on Monday, Nov. 7, in Elizabeth City, NC.
