RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 19) - Saint Augustine's University concluded the regular season Saturday with a 67-51 CIAA men's basketball loss to Fayetteville State University at Emery Gymnasium on Senior Day.
Sean Tony Hauser (Jr./Charlotte, NC) paced the Falcons with 16 points and a season-high nine rebounds. Todd Smith (Sr./Burlington, NC) added nine points and Josh Page (Sr./Washington, DC) and Jaylen Richard (Jr./Durham, NC) each collected seven points.
Dhashon Dyson (So./Chicago) pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds.
Zion Cousins scored 13 points to lead four double-figure scorers for the Broncos, who led 42-18 at halftime. The Falcons outscored the Broncos 33-25 in the second half.
Before the game, Kyshon Tate (Sr./Baltimore, MD) and Smith were recognized on Senior Day along with the seniors on the women's basketball team, the men's and women's track & field teams and the cheerleading squad.
The Falcons ended the regular season 3-7 in the Southern Division, 4-12 in the CIAA and 6-20 overall. The Falcons will now await the CIAA Tournament men's bracket pairings, which will be released Sunday, Feb. 20.
The Broncos finished the regular season 7-3 in the Southern Division, 13-3 in the CIAA and 18-8 overall.
