SAU Softball Falls To Claflin In Doubleheader

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 3) – Saint Augustine's University lost 16-0 and 13-1 to Claflin in a CIAA softball doubleheader at Oakwood Park on Friday, April 1. The doubleheader was part of Spring Fling weekend.

Gia Minnis (Grad./Nassau, Bahamas) drove in the Lady Falcons' one run with a single to score Victoria De La Cruz (Jr./Whittier, CA). Cruz reached base on a single.

Claflin improved to 2-0 in the Southern Division, 8-0 in the CIAA and 10-8 overall. The Lady Falcons are 0-2 in the Southern Division, 0-8 in the CIAA and 0-18 overall.

SAU will host two Southern Division doubleheaders this weekend. The Lady Falcons will face Johnson C. Smith on Friday, April 8, and Livingstone on Saturday, April 9. The staring times are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. both days.
