RALEIGH, NC (Sept. 24) – Saint Augustine's University (SAU) placed third in the women's 5K race at the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Hagan Stone Park in Greensboro, NC. 

Fayetteville State won the women's race with 25 points followed by Winston-Salem State with 46 points. SAU placed third with 62 points and Livingstone was fourth with 102 points. 

Individually, Joyce Jepleting (So./Kapsabet, Kenya) of SAU was second with a time of 21:05.9. Vanessa Jones of Winston-Salem State finished first with a time of 20:30.9. Mercy Chemutai of Fayetteville State finished third with a time of 21:14.3 and Taymar Smith (Fr./Greenville, SC) was ninth with a time of 22.02.1 for the Lady Falcons.
