Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 RALEIGH, N.C. (September 25) – The Lady Falcons defeated Bowie State at the CIAA Round-Up I on Saturday in Bowie, MD, for their first victory of the season. 

SAU's victory snapped a two-game losing streak and was their first conference win.

The momentum ended later in the day in a three-set loss to Virginia Union, followed by a Sunday loss to Shaw. Shaw is tied first in the Northern Division and entered the matchup against SAU undefeated in conference play.

The Lady Falcons (1-4 CIAA, 1-4 overall) fell to Shaw in three sets but gained valuable experience playing its cross-town rival, a league contender.

With a 1-2 record in the roundup, the Lady Falcons are tied for third in the Southern Division with a 1-4 record. They return to action in the division against Livingstone on Thursday, Sept. 29, in Salisbury, NC. The away match begins at 6 p.m.
