Bowie, MD. – The Saint Augustine's women's basketball team surrendered its third straight loss against CIAA opponent Bowie State University. The Lady Falcons couldn't muster the same first half comeback against the Bulldogs in the second half, which ultimately decided the outcome. After trailing 20-14 in the first quarter, the Lady Falcons scratched and crawled back to take a 33-30 lead into the half. However, the Lady Bulldogs came out of the half looking to turn the Lady Falcons over, which it did and ended up scoring 12 points in the third quarter alone off turnovers. A crucial 12-0 run during that stretch practically put the game out of reach with the Lady Falcons struggling to put points up as it was only able to score 8 points in the quarter. The Fourth quarter saw the Lady Falcons battle, but ultimately, the Lady Bulldogs were too much for SAU. The Lady Falcons lost the contest 64-54.
Ariyanna Brown led the Lady Falcons on the night with 16 points.
