SALISBURY, North Carolina -- Saint Augustine's fell 34-14 to Livingstone on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Bears improved to 4-5 on the year and 4-4 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association play, while the Falcons fell to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in conference matchups.
Anthony Archie led all Falcons rushers with 68 yards in the contest, picking up 6.8 yards per carry. Archie also added 47 receiving yards. Avonte George also added 17 yards on the ground, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.
Deandre Proctor hauled in five catches for 50 yards and one score.
Jamieson Alston paced the Saint Augustine's defensive effort, collecting six tackles and one interception. Team added and Omarion Huntley had in the loss.
Defensively, Saint Augustine's held up fairly well against the Livingstone rushing attack, holding the Blue Bears to 147 yards on the ground.
How It Happened
After Livingstone took a 21-0 lead, Saint Augustine's got on the scoreboard with 13:25 remaining in the third quarter to narrow the margin to 21-7.Livingstone extended its lead to 34-7, but the Falcons responded with a touchdown to narrow the advantage to 34-14. Neither team scored again in the game.
