RALEIGH, NC --The Saint Augustine's volleyball team lost to the Shaw Bears in straight sets (19-25, 20-25, 19-25) Wednesday at home at Emery Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Saint Augustine's' record to 11-12 overall and 11-6 in CIAA action.
Siayera Boone finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Falcons offense. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Nayara Pereira had 14 and Sofia Sanchez had 11. From the front row, Madison Jones contributed five blocks.

SET 1 | The Falcons found themselves in an early deficit, dropping a tough first set 25-19. Saint Augustine's trailed by as many as seven points as Shaw never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up zero times before the Bears took control.
SET 2 | Saint Augustine's then dropped the second set 25-20 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. Shaw grabbed the advantage for good at 18-17 in a set that was tied up just once before the Bears took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 3 | Shaw finished off the sweep with a set-three win. The Falcons dropped a tough set 25-19. Saint Augustine's trailed by as many as seven points as Shaw grabbed the advantage for good at 11-10 in a set that was tied up four times before the Bears took over the lead.
