Robinson #2 mark in NCAA DII leads Falcons showing at HBCU Showcase

New York, NY -- Saint Augustine's University track & field program traveled to the the world renown Armory Track at the 168th Street Armory in New York City for Saturday's HBCU Showdown featuring the top DI and DII HBCU track and field programs from around the country.  The Falcons continued to put up some of the best marks in the CIAA but the top highlight of the day was Terrell Robinson (Winston-Salem, NC, Mount Tabor HS) taking the win in the 60m finals in 6.64 seconds which is ranked 2nd in all NCAA DII and qualifies him for Indoor Nationals.  Robinson's mark was a new meet record and new school record - which is also impressive given seven of the nine competitors in the finals field were from DI Universities.  The men's 4x400 relay also set a new meet record with a 3:15.21.  The team included Isaiah Chapman (Raleigh, NC, Southeast Raleigh HS), Amarion Harrell (Chesapeake, VA, Deep Creek HS), Sean Kalawan (Westmoreland, Jamaica, G.C. Foster), and Kailen Perry (Raleigh, NC, Garner HS).
