Virginia Beach, VA -- Saint Augustine's University track & field program traveled to the Virginia Beach Sports Complex on Sunday to take part in the VCU Rams Invitational against several CIAA teams including Bowie State, Virginia State, Virginia Union. There were several other Division I programs at the meet as well. The Falcons continued to out perform the field in the meet with several top CIAA and National Qualifying marks. The Men's 4x400 relay team consisting of
Sean Kalawan (Westmoreland, Jamaica, G.C. Foster), Amarion Harrell (Chesapeake, VA, Deep Creek HS), Isaiah Chapman (Raleigh, NC, Southeast Raleigh HS), and Kailen Perry (Raleigh, NC, Garner HS) won the meet and surpassed the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark with a 3:15.67. This currently has them ranked #1 in the Atlantic Region and 4th in all of NCAA Division II. The Falcons also took 1st through 5th place in the open 400m led by Perry with a 48.38 which bested his previous season mark and has him ranked 5th in NCAA Division II. Kalawan was 2nd in 49.42, Harrell 3rd in 49.56,
Jesiah Davis (Huntersville, NC, Hough HS) placed 4th in 50.19 and Chapman rounded out the top 5 with a 51.11.

Notable Performances
- Kahlil West (Roanoke, VA, William Fleming HS) won the high jump with a mark of 1.99m which ranks him 1st in the CIAA and NCAA DII Atlantic Region.
- Shaunece Miller (Nassau, BS, Montverde Academy) placed 3rd overall (1st among DII jumpers) in the high jump with a 1.55m which ranks her 2nd in the CIAA.
- Malaysia Johnson (Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dillard HS) placed 2nd in the 200m with a time of 25.01.
- Christabelle Obi (Ypsilanti, MI, Ann Arbor Huron HS) qualified for the finals in the 60m hurdles placing 5th overall (1st among DII) with a 9.09 ranking 4th in the CIAA.
- Nazir Imhotep (Chesapeake, VA, ) also qualified for the finals in the 60m hurdles taking 2nd overall in 8.31 which is 5th in the CIAA and 8th in the Atlantic Region.
- Malaysia Johnson (Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dillard HS) had the top qualifying mark for the 60m and finished 2nd overall in 7.67 which is #2 in the CIAA.
