SAU Volleyball Falls To Winston-Salem State At Home

RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 15) – Saint Augustine's University fell 3-0 to Winston-Salem State University in a CIAA volleyball match at Emery Gymnasium on Monday. This was the second match in three days between both teams.

Brittany Jamison (Jr./Charleston, SC) and Janina Mayers (Fr./Christ Church, Barbados) totaled five kills apiece for the Lady Falcons. Mechelle Moss (So./Nassau, Bahamas) contributed four kills, 12 assists and seven digs and Chandra Mackey (So./Nassau, Bahamas) registered eight digs.


The Rams, led by Ytae Cobb's 11 kills, won 25-13, 25-11 and 25-14. Brittany Carpenter handed out 24 assists and Gabrielle Azar chipped in nine digs.


The Lady Falcons' next match is Thursday, Oct. 25, at home against Fayetteville State University. The starting time is 6 p.m. at Emery Gymnasium.
