SAU Women's Basketball Falls To Barton

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 13) – Three players scored in double figures for Saint Augustine's University in an 87-58 women's basketball loss to Barton College at Wilson Gymnasium in Wilson, N.C., on Tuesday.

Kamya Renwicks (Jr./Baltimore, MD) had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Lady Falcons. Angela Caraballo (Jr./Richmond, VA) tallied 10 points and three steals, and Shankia Clark (Jr./Orlando, FL) contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.

Tanisha Wall (Jr./Franklinton, NC) collected six points, five rebounds and five assists for the Lady Falcons (0-2 overall). Nia Moore (Jr./Deltona, FL) chipped in six points and four rebounds.

Kianna Wynn totaled 31 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (3-0 overall). Dinah Neal and Jami Tham had 14 points and 10 points, respectively, and Shanika Peterkin tallied 18 rebounds.

The game started well for the Lady Falcons, who led 8-2 on Caraballo's jumper. The score was tied four times before the Bulldogs took a 22-15 lead after the first period.

The contest turned in the Bulldogs' favor in the second period. They outscored the Lady Falcons 27-10 for a 49-25 halftime lead. The Lady Falcons finished strong, outscoring the Bulldogs 21-20 in the fourth period.

The Lady Falcons return home to host Clark Atlanta University at Emery Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 17. Tipoff is 2 p.m.
