SAU Volleyball Falls To Shaw On Senior Night

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 2) – Saint Augustine's University fell to Shaw University 3-0 in a CIAA volleyball match at Emery Gymnasium on Friday.
 
This was the final home match of the season for the Lady Falcons. During the match, Zoey Isom (Sr./Phoenix, AZ) was recognized on Senior Night.
 
Janina Mayers (Fr./Christ Church, Barbados) led the Lady Falcons with four kills and seven digs. Isom had seven assists.
 
Keveesha Whatley tallied nine kills for the Lady Bears, who won 25-6, 25-13, 21-2 (default). The match was stopped after a Lady Falcons' player was injured.
 
The Lady Bears improved to 16-2 in the CIAA and 20-8 overall. The Lady Falcons dropped to 3-14 in the CIAA and 3-17 overall.
 
The Lady Falcons visit Claflin University in Orangeburg, S.C., on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. This is the final match of the season for the Lady Falcons.
