RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 8) – Saint Augustine's University fell 79-45 to Johnson C. Smith University in a CIAA women's basketball game at Brayboy Gymnasium on Thursday, Feb. 7.
Kiana Clark (Jr./Queens, NY) tallied 11 points, four assists and three steals for the Lady Falcons, who finished with 11 steals. She was 3 of 6 behind the three-point arc.
Nia Moore (Jr./Deltona, FL) scored a career-high 10 points and Angela Caraballo (Jr./Richmond, VA) totaled nine points, six assists and three steals. Shankia Clark (Jr./Orlando, FL) registered seven points, five rebounds and two steals.
Malia Rivers paced the Golden Bulls with 14 points. Blaire Thomas collected 12 points while DeJane' James and Le'Zarea Bowens each scored 10 points.
The Lady Falcons led 12-6 early on a jumper by Tanisha Wall (Jr./Franklinton, NC) before the Golden Bulls (4-2 Southern Division, 12-11 overall) surged ahead.
This contest was originally scheduled on Feb. 13 in Charlotte, N.C.
The SAU women (2-6 Southern Division, 3-18 overall) visit Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. This is the third straight road game for the Lady Falcons.
