WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 9) – Kamya Renwicks (Jr./Baltimore, MD) scored a career-high 20 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 72-54 CIAA women's basketball loss to Winston-Salem State University at the Gaines Center on Saturday.
Renwicks topped her previous career-high of 18 points in her first collegiate game as a freshman against Brenau University on Nov. 11, 2016. Against WSSU, Renwicks was 8 of 13 from the floor and added a game-high five steals.
Kiana Clark (Jr./Queens, NY) added 14 points on 4 of 9 three-point shooting for the Lady Falcons, who outscored the Rams 30-26 in the paint and 14-6 in fastbreak points. Clark has scored in double figures three straight games.
Brionna Pate led four double-figure scorers with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Rams, who outscored the Lady Falcons 30-17 in turnover points. The Rams shot 50.9 percent including 46.7 percent behind the three-point line.
After three consecutive away games, the Lady Falcons return home to Emery Gymnasium against crosstown rival Shaw University on Saturday, Feb. 16. Tipoff is 2 p.m.
