SAU Bowlers Finish Among Top Six Teams At CIAA Championship Tournament

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 24) – Saint Augustine's University finished among the top six teams in the CIAA Bowling Championship Tournament at AMF Lynnhaven Lanes in Virginia Beach, Va., on Saturday, March 23.
 

The Lady Falcons, seeded eighth, opened with a 4-2 loss to top-seed Fayetteville State University, but bounced back to oust fifth-seed Shaw University 4-3 in the elimination bracket. SAU rallied to defeat its crosstown rival 4-3 after trailing 3-2.
 

The season ended for the Lady Falcons with a 4-0 loss to Fayetteville State. They finished 17-37 in the CIAA and overall.
 

The top eight teams in the regular season qualified for the double-elimination championship tournament, which consists of best-of-seven Baker matches.
