RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan. 14) – Quiera Gilmore (Sr./Charlotte, NC) scored 18 points and Kamya Renwicks (Sr./Baltimore, MD) added 15 points for Saint Augustine's University (SAU) in a 71-63 CIAA Southern Division women's basketball loss to Livingstone College at Emery Gymnasium on Monday, Jan. 13.

Kaaliya Williams (Sr./Richmond, VA) contributed 11 points and Milequa Eason (Jr./Woodland, NC) had nine points for the Lady Falcons, who led 31-25 at halftime. They led 48-47 after three periods but were outscored 24-15 in the fourth period.

Gilmore led a Lady Falcons' bench that outscored the Lady Blue Bears' reserves 24-11. The Lady Falcons also outscored the Lady Blue Bears in second chance points 12-8.

The Lady Falcons (1-4 CIAA, 5-9 overall) started slowly as they fell behind 16-4 in the first period. They climbed back to trail 20-17 at the end of the first period, then played their best stretch of basketball in the second period. SAU held Livingstone to five points in the period to open a six-point halftime lead. The margin eventually vanished as the Lady Falcons were outscored 46-32 in the final two periods.

Daisa Harris paced the Lady Blue Bears (3-4 CIAA, 6-8 overall) with 29 points and Darra Walker added 23 points. Free throws keyed Livingstone's victory as the Lady Blue Bears made 14 of 21 free throws in the fourth period.

The Lady Falcons hit the road Wednesday, Jan. 15, after three straight home games. They visit Virginia State University in a non-conference game between CIAA teams in Ettrick, Va., at 5:30 p.m.
