RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 12) - Four players scored in double figures for Saint Augustine's University in an 85-72 season-opening loss to Glenville State on Friday in the MEC/PSAC/CIAA Tipoff Challenge in Charleston, W.Va.
Dhashon Dyson (So./Chicago, IL) scored 17 points and Josh Page (Sr./Washington, DC) added 12 points for the Falcons. Todd Smith (Sr./Burlington, NC) chipped in 11 points, including 2 of 3 three-point attempts, and Christopher Hill (Jr./Charlotte, NC) scored 10 points.
The Falcons shot 53 percent from the floor, including 65 percent in the second half. They also had 11 steals, including three each from Smith and Hill.
John Williams scored 23 points for Glenville State (1-0 overall), which made 12 of 33 three-point attempts.
The Falcons play again Saturday, Nov. 13, against Charleston, which is hosting the Tipoff Challenge. Game time is 4 p.m.
