SAU Volleyball Falls To Fayetteville State

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 4) – Saint Augustine's University fell to Fayetteville State 3-0 in a CIAA Southern Division volleyball match at Capel Arena on Thursday.

Despite the loss, the Lady Falcons can clinch a berth in the CIAA Tournament with a victory over Johnson C. Smith on Monday, Nov. 8, in the regular season finale.

On Thursday, Tionna Graham (Jr./Portmore, Jamaica) led the Lady Falcons with six kills and seven digs. La'Tavia Braynen (So./Nassau, Bahamas) added five kills and Sydney Moore (So./West Bloomfield, MI) contributed 12 assists and three blocks. Madison Jones (Fr./Durham, NC) totaled three blocks for SAU (4-5 Southern Division, 6-9 CIAA, 8-14 overall).

Bailey Robinson had 12 kills and Da'Nesha Miller finished with nine kills, four aces, four blocks, 14 assists and eight digs for the division leading Broncos (9-0 Southern Division, 13-2 CIAA, 18-6 overall), who won 25-18, 25-15, 25-7.
