RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan. 23) - CIAA scoring leader Dhashon Dyson (So./Chicago) poured in 24 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 58-48 men's basketball loss to Bowie State at Emery Gymnasium on Sunday.
Josh Page (Sr./Washington, DC) added eight points for the Falcons, who shot 55.6 percent behind the three-point arc (5 of 9) but committed 26 turnovers. David McCullough of Bowie State tied for game-high honors with 24 points.
The Falcons (1-6 CIAA, 3-14 overall) led 16-14 in the first half on Page's three-pointer, but a late surge by the Bulldogs put them up 27-18 at halftime. The late run gave the Bulldogs (4-3 CIAA, 6-12 overall) the cushion they needed to pull out the win over the Falcons.
The Falcons will host their six consecutive home game this month on Thursday, Jan. 27, against Livingstone at 7:30 p.m.
