FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 29) - Christopher Hill (Jr./Charlotte, NC) and Sean Tony Hauser (Jr./Charlotte, NC) scored 11 points apiece for Saint Augustine's University in a 60-52 CIAA men's basketball loss to Fayetteville State at Capel Arena on Saturday. The point total was a season high for Hill.
Dhashon Dyson (So./Chicago) added 10 points and three steals for the Falcons, who shot 40 percent behind the three-point arc in the first half to build a 33-26 lead at the break.
The lead evaporated after halftime. The Falcons were outscored 34-19 in the second half as the Broncos seized control.
Jalen Seegars scored 18 points for the Broncos, who shot 52 percent in the second half. Darian Dixon added 16 points.
Daveon Dunn (So./Raleigh, NC) chipped in seven points for the Falcons, who made 31 percent of their second-half shots.
SAU is 0-4 in the Southern Division, 1-8 in the CIAA and 3-16 overall. Fayetteville State is 4-1 in the Southern Division, 8-1 in the CIAA and 13-6 overall.
