ORANGEBURG, S.C. --The Saint Augustine's volleyball team took care of business in three sets (25-14, 25-22, 25-17) to defeat the Claflin Panthers Thursday on the road at Tullis Arena.
The conference win improved Saint Augustine's' record to 7-10 overall and 7-4 in CIAA action.
The Falcons attack was paced by Madison Jones, who finished with 18 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .696, and by Siayera Boone, who had 10 kills. The Falcons got 13 digs from Nayara Pereira to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Falcons won the first point and never trailed to win the first set 25-14. Saint Augustine's opened up its biggest lead, 11 points, to close out the set, totaling 16 kills in the set.
SET 2 | Saint Augustine's took the second set 25-22 to quickly jump to a 2-0 lead. The Falcons earned the set victory with the help of a solid performance on the attacking side. Saint Augustine's put together a .324 attack percentage with 17 kills in the set win. The Falcons opened up a 23-17 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there. The Saint Augustine's offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Saint Augustine's finished off the match in a 3-0 sweep after winning set three. The Falcons scored first and never trailed in the set to secure a 25-17 victory. Saint Augustine's opened up as much as an eight point lead at 14-6 before finishing off the set.
