BLUEFIELD, WV --The Saint Augustine's men's basketball team got a 32-point performance from the bench, but fell 76-61 to the Bluefield State Big Blues on the road Monday.

The Falcons (4-7, 0-1) had two players score in double figures, led by Nate Youngblood, who had 11 points. Jordan Love added 10 points and Nemo Johnson added seven points, six rebounds and two blocks.

Saint Augustine's forced 21 Bluefield State turnovers. The Falcons turned those takeaways into 24 points on the offensive end of the floor. Jawan Browder's three steals led the way for Saint Augustine's.

How It Happened

Saint Augustine's struggled out of the gate, falling behind 28-19 heading into halftime.

Bluefield State kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 64-44 advantage before Saint Augustine's went on a 7-0 run, finished off by Love's layup, to shrink the deficit to 64-51 with 6:01 to go in the contest. Bluefield State responded and outscored the Falcons the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 76-61. Saint Augustine's took care of business in the paint, recording 28 of its 42 points in the lane.
