BUIES CREEK, NC --The Saint Augustine's men's basketball team got a 23-point showing from the bench, but fell 97-48 to the Campbell Fighting Camels on the road Thursday.

The Falcons (4-7) had three players score in double figures, led by Caleb Gilmore, who had 11 points. Nate Youngblood tacked on 10 points from the bench and Nemo Johnson helped out with 10 points.

How It Happened

Saint Augustine's struggled out of the gate, falling behind 47-25 heading into halftime.

Campbell kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 62-33 advantage before Saint Augustine's went on a 5-0 run, finished off by Youngblood's jumper, to shrink the deficit to 62-38 with 14:04 to go in the contest. Campbell responded and outscored the Falcons the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 97-48. Saint Augustine's got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for six of its 23 total points.
