RALEIGH, N.C. (July 27) – Mrs. Margo Dawson, the wife of Saint Augustine's University (SAU) athletic director Dr. J. Lin Dawson, passed away on Friday, July 21st, in Raleigh, NC at the age of 64. Mrs. Dawson and Dr. Dawson were married for 38 years and had three adult children, twin granddaughters, and one grandson. 

Dr. Dawson joined the Falcons in April 2022 and assumed the athletic director duties in January 2023. Effective immediately, Mr. Stephen Latson will serve as interim athletic director in Dr. Dawson's absence until further notice. 

The celebration of life for Mrs. Margo Dawson, the wife of Dr. J. Lin Dawson, will take place Friday, July 28, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary, NC 27518. All guests are asked to wear summer attire & festive colors in her honor.
