RALEIGH, NC --The Saint Augustine's men's basketball team secured a hard-fought 67-65 win over the Lincoln (PA) Lions at home Thursday in a back-and-forth game that neither led by more than five points.
The Falcons (8-8, 4-3) had four players score in double figures, led by Jawan Browder, who had 16 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Jalen Williams added 13 points and four assists off the bench and MacNasa Hughes helped out with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Nate Youngblood pulled down two offensive rebounds to lead the Saint Augustine's offense which grabbed 12 boards and turned them into 10 second chance points.
The Saint Augustine's defense caused its share of mistakes in Thursday's game, forcing 15 Lincoln (PA) turnovers. Those takeaways turned into 13 points on the other end of the floor. Nemo Johnson's three steals led the way individually for the Falcons.
