CE GAINES CENTER, Winston --The Saint Augustine's men's basketball team got a 16-point performance from the bench, but fell 88-45 to the Winston-Salem Rams on the road Thursday.
Jordan Love led the Falcons (9-9, 5-4) with 11 points and two steals. Nate Youngblood also tacked on four points and George Jones chipped in as well with eight points.
How It Happened
Saint Augustine's struggled out of the gate, falling behind 40-23 heading into halftime.
After intermission, Saint Augustine's kept the Rams from increasing their lead before going on a 7-0 run, finished off by Jones' three, to shrink the deficit to 43-33 with 16:24 to go in the contest. Winston-Salem responded and outscored the Falcons the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 88-45. Saint Augustine's got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 10 of its 22 total points.
