HAMPTON, Va.  – Saint Augustine's College won twice on Sunday (Sept. 13) to complete a successful weekend at the CIAA Volleyball Round-Up. The Lady Falcons beat Virginia State University 3-1 (28-26, 21-25, 25-15, 26-24) and Lincoln (Pa.) University 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-8) to finish with a 5-1 record at the three-day event played at Boo Williams Sportsplex.

Stephony Newkirk recorded 10 kills against Virginia State, and Shakira Carter collected 12 kills against Lincoln (Pa.). Roxanne Smith amassed 50 assists and Nicolette Campbell had 23 digs in two games, includng 15 digs against Virginia State. Keisha Parris added 11 digs against Virginia State for the Lady Falcons, who host Chowan University on Tuesday (Sept. 15) at Emery Gymnasium. The match starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Lady Falcons improved to 6-9 overall after the weekend.
