ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Saint Augustine's College got strong performances from  Keisha Parris (Sr./St. Catherine, Jamaica) and Kathryn Tokarski (Sr./Saskatchewan, Canada), but the Lady Falcons lost 3-0 to Claflin in a non-conference volleyball match Wednesday (Oct. 19) at Kennedy Gym.

All the games (25-23, 25-20, 25-21) were close, thanks to Parris (15 kills) and Tokarski (12 kills). The duo combined for 27 of the Lady Falcons' 36 kills.

Roxanne Smith (Sr./St. Catherine, Jamaica) had 26 assists for the Lady Falcons, who dropped to 9-15 overall. Claflin, which upped its record to 19-6 overall, were led by Laurin Calvin with eight kills.

The Lady Falcons host Fayetteville State in a key CIAA Southern Division matchup Monday (Oct. 24) at Emery Gym starting at 6 p.m. Fayetteville State is tied for the division lead at 6-1 and the Lady Falcons are third at 4-3.
