FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Saint Augustine's University lost 3-0 to Fayetteville State University in a CIAA Southern Division volleyball match at Capel Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.

The final score was 16-25, 13-25, 12-25. Abeje Carrington (Jr./St. George, Barbados) led the Lady Falcons with four kills and Julieesa Thomas (Fr./St. Croix, US VI) had 11 assists and eight digs. Na'Chanelle Brown (Fr./Columbia, S.C.) and Victoria Davis (Jr./San Diego, Calif.) both had two blocking assists, and Jamie Goff (Jr./Rubonia, Fla.) finished with six digs and one blocking assist.

Ifeyinwa Nwokolo led the Lady Broncos with nine kills and Joylene Thompson added seven kills and 12 digs. The duo of Molly Farrington and Jessica Hardy contributed 11 and nine assists, respectively.

The Lady Falcons are 4-10 overall, 4-2 in the CIAA and 1-2 in the Southern Division. The Lady Broncos are 9-2 overall, 7-2 in the CIAA and 4-0 in the division.

The Lady Falcons head back to Fayetteville, N.C., this weekend for the second CIAA Round-Up of the season. They tangle with Chowan at 11 a.m. and Virginia State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. The meeting against Chowan is a rematch of the last two CIAA championship matches.
