Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. - Linebacker Chaz Robinson (Sr./Hampton, Va.) became the new Saint Augustine's University career tackles leader in a 35-17 CIAA football loss to 16^th-ranked Winston-Salem State University at Gregson Stadium on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

Robinson broke the record on Winston-Salem State's first drive of the game. He needed only three tackles to set the mark. The CIAA tackles leader now has 374 career tackles after finishing with a game-high 13 against the Rams. Robinson surpassed former standout linebacker Kevin Jones, who is now the St. Aug safeties coach. The 2006 CIAA Defensive Player of the Year, Jones held the previous record of 363 tackles.

Robinson led a St. Aug defense which held the potent Rams' offense to zero touchdown passes for the first time this season. The Rams led 7-3 lead at halftime, but outscored the Falcons 28-14 in the second half to pull away.

Maurice Lewis scored three touchdowns and Joshua Glisson ran for two scores to lead the Rams. Alex Munro (Sr./Ashburn, Va.) threw touchdown passes to Jordan Turkvant (R-Soph./Orangeburg, S.C.) and Jermaine Jones (R-Sr./Wilmington, N.C.) in the fourth quarter for the Falcons.

Lewis scored on a 40-yard touchdown run for a 7-0 WSSU lead in the first quarter. Led by Robinson and defensive tackle Shonquez Nelson (Sr./Lake City, S.C.), the Falcons defense kept the Rams' offense in check the rest of the first half. Nelson finished with seven tackles including three sacks.

Michael Lima (R-Jr./Miami, Fla.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with a 46-yard field goal late in the second quarter which cut the Rams' lead to 7-3 at halftime. The kick tied the record for the longest field goal in school history. He shares the mark with teammate Alex Tucker (Sr./Union, S.C.), who kicked a field goal from the same distance against the Rams in 2010.

The Falcons (3-4 overall, 2-2 CIAA Southern Division) moved the ball against the nation's top-ranked Division II defense in the first half. They drove inside the Rams' territory three times including the seven-yard line but an interception in the end zone ended that drive.

The Falcons fell behind 21-3 early in the fourth quarter, but threatened to slice the deficit when they drove to the Rams' 4-yard line. A fumble stopped the drive and set up a Rams' scoring drive which pushed the lead to 28-3. Munro responded with a 12-yard pass to Turkvant and Lima kicked the extra point for the Falcons, who trailed 28-10.

The Rams (6-1 overall, 4-0 CIAA Southern Division) added another touchdown late in the game for a 35-10 lead. Munro found Jones for a 25-yard touchdown pass and Lima added the extra point for the final margin.

Munro came off the bench to complete 15 of 28 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns to go with one interception. Brian Richards (R-Sr./Waldorf, Md.) caught six passes for 76 yards and Jones added four receptions for 87 yards while Herman Reaves (R-Jr./Miami, Fla.) had five receptions for 68 yards. On defense, John'ta Cooper (Jr./Cairo, Ga.) intercepted a pass and defensive lineman Nigel Crawford-Kinney (R-Jr./Washington, D.C.) recorded a sack. In addition to Lima's record-tying kick, Tucker came within one yard of tying the longest punt in school history when he booted a 71 yarder to the Rams' two-yard line in the first quarter.

The Falcons contained Rudy Johnson, the CIAA co-leader in touchdown passes entering the game. Johnson completed 13 of 26 passes for 207 yards and no touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked four times. This was the first game that Johnson failed to throw at least one touchdown pass. Lewis gained a game-high 90 rushing yards on 15 carries to go along with his three touchdowns. Defensively, Carlos Fields totaled 10 tackles for the Rams, the two-time defending CIAA champions and last year's NCAA Division II finalists.

After three straight home games, the Falcons hit the road to Fayetteville, N.C., to visit Fayetteville State University on Homecoming Day on Saturday, October 26, 2013. The contest begins at 2 p.m.
