Dominique Marsh of St. Aug Earns Academic All-District Football Honors

Defensive back Dominique Marsh (Jr./Norfolk, VA) of Saint Augustine's University was named to the Capital One Division II Academic All-District 1 football team. The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) nominated and voted on the squad.

Marsh is a biology major who has a cumulative 3.73 grade point average. He was one of the top defensive players on the team before an injury ended his season after six games. Marsh still finished seventh on the squad with 35 tackles. He also intercepted two passes, forced two fumbles, blocked one kick and recorded one pass breakup. Marsh now advances to the national ballot for the Division II Academic All-America football team.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution, participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at his position, completed one full calendar year at his current institution and reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
